At War with the Army, a musical comedy directed by Hal Walker, Alvin Korwin (
Jerry Lewis) and Vic Puccinelli (
Dean Martin) are buddies who join the army during WWII but find that their friendship becomes strained once self-confident Romeo Vic is made a sergeant, and bumbling Alvin is left in the dust. And while Alvin struggles to obtain a higher rank than private, golden-boy Vic sets his sights on a lovely young woman named Helen (
Polly Bergen). But unlucky for him, there's a pregnant girl named Millie who just might ruin his chances…
