Welcome to Theresa Borgren's Pilates/Yoga for AnyBODY,
a program that combines the core conditioning of Joseph Pilates, the traditions of yoga, and the functional fitness of calisthenics. Pilates and Yoga are Theresa's specialties because these practices stretch, strengthen, and tighten the entire body without causing soreness or joint issues like high-impact exercises such as aerobics can. The fluid, virtually impact-free movements of Pilates and Yoga also implement deep-breathing to facilitate the effectiveness of the movement and to strengthen the mind-body connection at the same time. But the benefits don't stop there! Once you make Pilates and Yoga part of your exercise regimen, you'll be surprised at how relaxed and rejuvenated you'll feel after your workout. ABOUT THE VIDEO:
Pilates/Yoga for AnyBODY is divided into six segments. First, you'll be introduced to the instructor, Theresa Borgren, and you'll learn a little about her history and practice. Next, Theresa will demonstrate proper posture alignments and suggest some household items you can use to achieve them. After an energizing warm-up, Theresa will take you through exercises to increase strength and improve endurance. After the entire body has been worked properly, Theresa will take you through body-lengthening stretches to improve flexibility and posture. A refreshing cool-down wraps up the workout, leaving you refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to take on the world!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Theresa Borgren, who has a B.A. in dance, has been in the fitness industry since 1988 and has had her own Pilates, Yoga, and functional fitness business since 1996. She is a nationally certified instructor, mother of two, and is very passionate about teaching the power, beauty, and potential that exists in every body.
